A poster for GrapeFM, for a wine tasting with only wines made by female vintners. Me being a man, it was important to me to depict the women in a respectful way, not sexualised or ‘male-gazey’, but strong and free. The first sketches of the poster were more inspired by punk posters, the women were much wilder and the wine was flying around. After sketching more, I came to the conclusion that strength and freedom can also be soft and more tranquil, and that I was approaching the topic from a pretty male point of view. It was an interesting thing for me to think about and took me out of my comfort zone in the perfect way.
